A volunteer writes-
I cannot resist a Jack Russel Terrier. Being owned by one myself, I love everything about them; their smarts, their energy, their curiosity, their fearlessness. Smalls is all things JRT wrapped up into a gorgeous well cared for package. He is stunning JRT perfection with a clean white coat and brigh,t naughty eyes. Returned to us after being found as a stray in the Bronx, his finder tried to keep him but said he did not get along with the resident animals. Smalls may indeed be selective with other dogs as he sniffed a large female dog politely in the adjacent pen but barked at a large passing male (My own JRT sometimes needs my “guidance” with doggy manners). Smalls is a fun companion in the park and loves to sniff and explore. He does all his business outside and is happy to be out in the sunshine. Free in a pen without the distractions of other dogs Smalls is a cuddle extraordinaire- jumping into my lap, then off, then on etc….Smalls needs an experienced terrier lover with a open lap so that he can jump into forever!
