10/28/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/28/15 14:09 Profile wasn’t left due to animal being stray. Behavior During Intake: Simon was brought into the facility being carried by the finder. Upon arrival Simon body was tense and he was trembling slighty. When I extended my hand to scan him he bowed his head and back up a few steps. I then in a baby voice told him he was a good boy. He allowed me to put a temp lead on him. Moving slow I was able to handle him with no issues.

11/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
On 10/28/2015 Simon came to us as a stray. The finder claims she found Simon and held him overnight. No further information. The Assistant’s observations: Simon walks well on leash. During the assessment appeared distracted by noise in the environment around the assessment area, but calm. He allowed the Assessor to perform all tactile assessment items. During the paw “squeeze” item, Simon pulled his paw from the Assessor’s hand twice. During the “tag” (play), Simon sat (not fearful) facing the Assistant and had to be coaxed back to the Assessor. When presented with a toy, Simon showed minimum interest. He approached the helper dog calmly. No other behavior issues; no aggression noted. Although Simon appeared distracted during some point during the assessment, he still should be a good family pet. It is the recommendation of the Behavior Department Simon may be adopted by an average owner who should allow Simon time to adjust to a new home and family. Helper: Rocky A1056333 Look: 1 He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor. He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in toy Dog-dog: 1. Dog approaches the helper dog, soft body, not playful.
