05/07/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Not only is Simba the sweetest pittie, she also might hold the key to the fountain of youth! I happened to be there when she was brought in with her housemate, Diamond. Both girls were so wiggly and friendly to everyone….and we all collectively gasped when we learned that Simba is 11 years old! She is very petite and beautiful. The little mole between her cheek and her mouth makes her like the canine Cindy Crawford! She does a little tap dance when I approach her cage and is very waggy on walks. She seems to hold it in her cage forever, and her previous owner reports that she is successfully crate trained. She loves treats and is eager to sit pretty for them (she knows “down” and “stay” too!); when she does, her bottom row of teeth peek out as she sticks her nose in the air to sniff out my treats, she even stands up (without putting her front paws on me) like a little meerkat to get a better look when I’m taking too long! She solicits affection and does a little bouncy dance after I pet her. She has a youthful spirit, but all the benefits that come with age — what a catch!! I have no doubt that Simba was loved for 11 years, and she deserves the same for the rest of her years — please come meet her at Brooklyn ACC!
