07/01/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Sieve is a cute puppy girl who seems to be a cross between a rabbitt and a deer..She is adorable, petite and girly, dressed in a perfect fawn and red coat and is ready for all adventures. She loves to bounce, to run and to eat treats. She can be tagged, picked up, kissed and hugged. All handling are most welcome… She enjoys our company as well as the one of her peers in playgroups. She still has to learn most basic commands but is very motivated to learn. Sieve is basically a lively, happy and good puppy who is ready to absorb all the teaching and love you have to give her and be in return an affectionate and loyal forever best friend. Come soon and meet Sieve ast the Manhattan Care Center.
06/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sieve pulls a bit on the leash. She was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. She was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. Sieve was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. Sieve did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. She was not interested in toys or rawhide. Sieve rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Sieve is an active dog she need a significant amount of exercise and mental stimulation. The behavior department feels that she can go to an experience home. Look: 3.
