Move over Shirley Temple, America’s got a new sweetheart and she’s the brightest, kindest, prettiest little girl you ever saw! Our Shirley has a walking log covered in compliments like ‘very sweet’ and ‘love her’ and when a staff member sees who my date is, she too calls out ‘oh Shirley, I LOVE her!’ Even her intake description has an extra touch of class and rather than plain brown brindle she’s described as having ‘gold flakes’ in her coat! Everyone who meets Shirley can see she’s a real treasure with all the good graces of a well-trained pet and she’s quite happy to demonstrate her ‘come’, ‘stay’, ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ before taking a reward treat ever so gently from my fingers. Food is a great passion of hers and she’s always searching for more, nuzzling her nose into my pocket as we sit together and looking back hopefully during our walk whenever she hears the telltale crinkle of a plastic bag. Shirley’s great on leash and very sociable toward other dogs both large and small, even the not-so-friendly little yappers are met with a soft body and and a happy tail. Affectionate, obedient, beautiful and with a stellar behavior rating, Shirley would make a wonderful addition to almost any family and she’s already spayed and ready to go home with you today!
