A volunteer writes: You just couldn’t help clicking for more details on that big, beautiful mush face, am I right? From the top of his fly-away ears to the tip of his wagging blur of a tail, Shreveport is absolutely impossible to resist! He’s a gentle giant who loves to play chase, explore the park and most of all have fun fun fun with his four-legged friends. Large, small, amiable, indifferent or downright hostile, Shreveport doesn’t discriminate and he greets each and every dog he sees with playful enthusiasm and a sunny smile. Arriving at the Care Center with his Sister-from-another-Mother, Baton Rouge – A1051669, Shevy (yeah, we’re nickname buddies!) looks to have been very well cared for and socialized and while he’s not a hugger by nature, he’s so soft and good-natured that I can smoosh him in my arms and smother him in kisses with no issues at all. Everywhere I go he follows right by my side, each gesture and command quietly taken in by his beautiful eyes and my sweet talk met with even more delighted tail wags…until another dog enters the yard of course! Shrevy seems to be extremely house trained and though he pulls on leash at first, once looped into a harness he trots along at a nice, leisurely pace and I can fall back, relax and bask in the reflected glory of admiring looks and comments from passersby. Family dogs don’t come any more adorable than this guy and he’d love to find a new home where he can enjoy lots of dog park socializing or maybe even (dare he hope?) have a few furry siblings of his very own to play with. If you like sweet, soft meatballs as much as I do, you’re going to love Shreveport and he is going to love love LOVE you right back!
