Sherry previously lived with one elderly lady. The owner stated Sherry has a high activity level. The Owner mentioned Sherry as excitable, anxious and friendly. The owner also stated Sherry barks when she is excited and wants something. It was reported Sherry was overly excited and anxious but allowed al handling upon intake. During SAFER Sherry came into the assessment room excited, loose body posture with her mouth open, she was friendly and social towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Sherry was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Sherry was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Sherry appears to be a high-energy dog that will likely do best with an adopter prepared to provide mental and physical stimulation and appropriate outlets for his energy, so the department feels she can be suitable for an “Average” adopter.
