05/09/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Gorgeous black and white Sheba was obviously adorned with a wide red collar recently, as her white neck is stained red…..I have no doubt that she looked stunning as she’s a gorgeous, sweet, petite little girl who will actually be gorgeous in any color! She’s a little shy peanut, skipping around the pen, coming when I call her and jumping up on the bench for kisses and hugs. What a sweetie! She seems to love other dogs, wagging her tail in an appropriate greeting at a dog in an adjoining pen, and when in group was interested in playing and appropriately offered corrections if needed. Submissive with people, she’ll curl close for petting, happy to make friends and kissing her new human bestie. Not interested in balls or treats, she prances (adorable!!) around our pen in exploration, head up from time to time listening to the birds chirp. Sweet and soft with a friendly low key, shy energy, Sheba is looking for a new person to love. She seems to thrive in the company of other dogs so if her new family comes with a resident dog, all the better. Another volunteer writes: Miss Sheba…..petite, beautiful, calm, affectionate, likely housetrained, great on the leash (but pulls towards squirrels), a submissive snuggler who loves to hang with her person. As we walked to the park I noticed that in addition to the fact that her markings are just beautiful, the marking on her rump is heart shaped! How fitting for this schmushy little girl! She rolls in for hugs and kisses, making friends with someone in the park and contentedly sitting by his side for some loving! She takes treats gently, poses for pictures like a super model and has the softest expression of love on her face. In group play she’s friendly to other dogs, but can also be indifferent to play, again simply happy to hang out. It’s no surprise that this well mannered little beauty aced her behavior assessment indicating she’ll be a good fit in just about any home. She can be a little shy at first so may need a soft approach, but she warms up quickly and is so happy to cuddle. If you’re looking for a soft easy cuddle buddy come meet Miss Sheba today.
