10/01/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/01/15 16:01 Sharky was found wandering outside by police. They report that she was very friendly, social, and relaxed with the police officers and civilians that she met, including children. She was well-behaved and quiet while riding in the back seat of their car. Sharky had a soft, relaxed body during intake and handling-scan (-), collar, switching leashes, petting, and positioning for pictures. Her tail wagged soft and low when she approached us and while we talked to her. She sat gently against our legs or lied on the floor at our feet while spending time with us at the desk. She sat when asked and waited for us to toss her treats. She’s very good at catching them in the air. When asked, she takes treats gently from an open palm. She had a soft body during her vet exam and didn’t react to receiving her vaccines. She walked into her kennel on her own with little encouragement. She had a soft body and wagging tail while I removed her leash.
10/02/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Majestic, regal, stunning, elegant… Sharky is a tall girl, dressed in a gorgeous caramel color coat, her bearing that of royalty. She’s magnificent! Happy to be chosen first for a walk, she took care of her business the moment we were out the door. As it’s raining, Sharky allows me to put a raincoat on her and off we go. She pulls slightly on leash, nothing major, and wags her tail as we walk. She ignores other dogs we pass including a small yappy one pulling towards us. Sharky had been found by the police and they told us she was “friendly, social and relaxed” when they approached her and was well behaved and quiet when riding in the back of the patrol car. With a little coaxing Sharky sits for a treat and takes it eagerly. She started ‘sitting’ a lot when she figured out that a sit got her a treat. Smart girl, our Sharky! She chases a ball, leaping in the air for a catch, but doesn’t retrieve, instead I do! (Told you she was smart). Easy, friendly, gentle and very serious about taking pictures, Sharky is a gem hoping a new person or family will find her quickly.
