09/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Scooby Doo previously lived with two adults, a 3 year old child and another dog. The owner stated Scooby Doo bites the three year old and husband in the house, she doesn’t know why he bites and stated he growls before biting. It was mentioned by the owner Scooby Doo is playful towards the other dog. The owner mentioned Scooby Doo has a medium activity level and he does urinate in the house. The owner describes Scooby Doo as mellow and fearful. At intake it was reported Scooby Doo was polite with loose body language, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Scooby Doo came into the assessment room nervous and timid, not all handling items were able to be conducted as Scooby Doo bared his teeth and growled at the assessor on the Look item. He displayed no interest in any of the resource items during this portion of the assessment. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Food: 1. No interest. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest.
