Having a rough day? Feeling like the world just ain’t treating you the way it should? Then say hello to your new best pick-me-up-and-set-me-straight friend, Sassy. She’s been starved, neglected and abandoned and her skeletal frame, mangy feet and pleading eyes are enough to make anyone weep. But has Sassy let this hard-knock life bring her down? Does she tuck her tail or hold back her happiness when it comes to meeting new people? Oh, heck no! A silly, funny, sweet, gentle girl who walks well, sits on command and tries to take treats softly (naturally it’s hard for her not vacuum up the entire bag at once!), Sassy is easy to handle and even easier to love. She currently spends a lot of her time exploring in search of food but when she’s not noseying her way around the yard she prefers to stay close to her person and always enjoys taking a break for some much appreciated butt rubs. Fate and her previous owner may have done their best to shut Sassy out of the easy life she deserves but the doors to her big heart are still wide open and there’s room enough for everyone. Come on in to our Manhattan Care Center for a Sassy-sized dose of life-ain’t-as-bad-as-you-
