07/15/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sasha came to us as a stray on 7/9/15. Upon intake it was reported that Sasha had soft body language and was easy to handle. She was very interested in exploring the environment when entering the behavior room. She allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items while maintaining soft body language. Sasha was very distracted during the tag test, and was more interested in her environment. She proved a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. Sasha took both the toy and rawhide items away with soft body language. During playgroup Sasha was said to be a bit anxious, but was social with the other dogs. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (needs coaxing to approach.) she is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with her tail down, body a bit stiff. Dog lifts head after moderate pressure applied from hand to cheek. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Rawhide: 2. Dog takes rawhide away, keeps a firm hold. Her body is between you and the rawhide, and she is loose and wiggly.
