07/28/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: There is something very endearing about Sammy’s face. Forget about his emaciated body, his long dystrophic nails, his poorly cropped ears. He just looks so sweet and so happy like a puppy to be in company, be treated with food and love and given the opportunity to roam free in a pen. Sammy makes good use of his time… he is as hungry as a caterpillar and insists to have his share of roast beef. He does sit nicely and looks intensely at me with his eloquent brown eyes. Please, give me more… he is irresistible. Although a little anxious in his kennel, Sammy is a great walker, not a puller on the leash and does his business with some marking. He nears other dogs and would be a great player in groups with other dogs. Looking at Sammy, the way life treated him and his great disposition in spite of it… I would want to adopt him and prove that his resilience paid. I would love for you to feel the same way toward Sammy and give him the chance of his life, a home and your heart… Sammy is at the Manhattan Care Center.
