A volunteer writes: A little two tone nose with a smattering of freckles…..it’s so darn cute you’ll want to kiss that nose every day! Energetic, playful, friendly, she’s thrilled to be out bouncing her way to the park with the excitement of it all. Petite, well groomed, tail waggy, sparkling eyes, all befitting the Urban Dictionary’s definition of Samantha as a “walking Goddess”. She loved chasing a ball, loved greeting other dogs through the gate, loved coming on my lap for some kisses, loved exploring new sights and smells. She’s a funny, sweet, affectionate and energetic little girl who’s looking for a new bestie with whom to share life’s adventures. Ask to meet our Samantha today and be prepared to fall in love.
07/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Samantha pulls a bit on leash. She was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body, wagging tail. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Samantha did a lot of jumping up, body checking during tag interaction. She growled and bit the assess-a-hand during the food bowl test. Samantha took the toy with a soft body language and was not interested in rawhide. Samantha rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
