06/20/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: I had my eye on Sailor Jerry and the dog he came in with, Captain Wink, all day and I finally had the opportunity to meet him. A joyful, bouncy, friendly little guy, he’s all about snuggles, curiosity, and playful puppy abandon. His leash manners are surprisingly good, he bounces/walks beside me, wagging his tail and I guarantee there wasn’t a person who passed us who didn’t smile down at him. Off leash in a pen he bounces around, chases a ball and actually brings it back, nicely greeted a dog in another pen, posed like a rockstar for some pictures and took treats gently. He tried to climb up on the bench next to me and is simply way too short so needed a little boost from me and happily settled in my lap for some cuddling. His round little puppy body is totally adorable, his friendly face totally kissable, and when his upper lip gets caught in a tooth it’s all I can do to not laugh at him. Like all bouncy adorable puppies, Sailor is looking for that special person who will help him grow into the amazing adult dog he’s destined to be. I don’t think he’ll be a big dog as his feet are small. He has that amazing puppy personality that looks at life through happy puppy rose colored glasses…..let’s make sure he stays that way. If you can meet the needs and love of a sweetheart of a puppy, Sailor is hoping you’ll meet him today.
