PROFILE:
Basic Information:
Ruby is a 6 month old female dog who is affectionate and energetic.
Social Life and Personality:
Ruby has been around children of all ages, with them she is very playful. When she plays with them she gets very excited. When Ruby is around other dogs she becomes very playful and excited. Around cats Ruby is relaxed and respectful. Ruby is mostly house trained but with urinate if she gets too excited or scared. Ruby has been kept indoors only and has a very high activity level. Ruby’s previous owner describes her as playful, confident, excitable, affectionate, mellow and friendly.
Behavior Issues:
Ruby has never bitten another animal or person. Ruby is friendly whenever someone touches her food or bowl while eating, takes a bone or treat away, or takes a toy or other object away. Ruby is doesn’t mind whenever someone gives her a bath, trims her nails, pushes her of the couch or brushes her coat. Ruby is friendly whenever an unfamiliar person apporaches her family or home. Ruby does not mind being held or restrained.
For a New Family to Know:
Ruby knows the command sit for a treat. For exercise Ruby goes for brisk walks on a leash every 2 hours. Ruby lies to play with balls, squeaky toys, and ropes. Ruby likes to play fetch and tug-o-war. Ruby has been crate trained and does well for 8 hours. Ruby will usually go to the bathroom on the grass and will follow you around at home. Ruby becomes nervous when loud trucks pass by her. Ruby likes to eat dry food from the brand wellness and sleeps in a dog crate.
Intake Behavior:
Ruby was very friendly durinh her intake with a loose body and a wagging tail. Ruby would put her head on staffs’ laps to pet pet and rubbed. Ruby allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression. Ruby allowed all handling from staff.
