09/23/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Royal is a lovely strawberry blonde gal, relinquished into our care as her owner is moving to a place not allowing pets. She was clearly loved, so well cared for, healthy and sparkling clean down to her nails. Royal is shy in her kennel but comes around after few minutes spent outside, free in a pen. After doing her business, she comes right away to sit between my legs, like she was my long time friend. Her lovely velvety eyes meet gently mine as I caress her head and face. Royal is quite playful, though and after some time spend together, she enjoys a ball game, playing tag and tug of war. She is quite athletic leaping after the ball and jumping high in the air for it. She is very fond of treats and will sit for them. Royal is such a pretty dog who regained her figure after a recent litter. What an endearing and lovely mother she must have been. Royal’s former master has only outstanding comments to make about his dog he owned since the age of one month…She slept with him, under the cover and loved to play with children and other dogs. She was very playful, housetrained, a good walker , had no handling issues and was well behaved when alone in the house. Cats were not her favorite, though. I love Royal, a little princess who needs to belong again and bless her new master or family with her love and loyalty. Come to meet Royal at the Manhattan Care Center and make her your forever best friend. Another volunteer writes: Looking every bit like royalty, Royal sits upright in her kennel, close to the door, hoping she’ll be next for a walk. She is, and her tail wags as she steps out of her kennel. Petite and elegant in her well groomed coat, she loved being off leash in a pen to play with a toy, chase a ball, and chase some birds too! She’s a bit shy from time to time, but clearly wants to be friends and comes in for some petting. Distressed when she was separated from her person, she’s slowly regaining her footing and will likely thrive when in a home again. You have to love a dog who has figured out how to pull the blanket over herself and go to sleep!! Royal is hopefully waiting to meet her new best friend. Is it you?
