12/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ronnie came to us as a stray on 12/08/15. He was a bit fearful when entering the behavior room and within a few minutes his body began to tremble. Ronnie allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items without displaying any signs of aggression. However, Ronnie did maintain a trembling body for all items though he was soft to the touch on the sensitivity and look portions. He showed no interest in the toy on this part of the assessment. When the handler attempted to place Ronnie back in his kennel Ronnie seemed to become very uncomfortable and turned very quickly toward the assessor’s hand placing his mouth on his hand. Ronnie did not break skin but does not seem to like to be picked up. All interactions with Ronnie should go slowly and give hime time to acclimate to his environment. The behavior team believes that Ronnie can go to a home to an adopter with an experienced adopter with no children that can let Ronnie initiate interactions at his own pace. Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. His body posture is trembling and fearful; his tail is low and not moving. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, his tail is between his legs, body fearful, mouth closed, lip long, ears back, may lip lick. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft, low and a bit fearful. Squeeze 1: 2. Dog gently pulls back his paw with fearful body language. Squeeze 2: 2. Dog gently pulls back his paw with fearful and tense body language. Toy 1: No interest.
