07/01/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: “You MUST meet Ronald”, a colleague said, and now that I have, I’m passing that advice on to you: YOU MUST MEET RONALD! This handsome fellow was surrendered to us as his person no longer had time to care for him. Let her loss be your gain! “Loving and affectionate, good with kids” is what we’re told. We’re also told that he’s housetrained (check!), does not like male dogs but is OK with females, does not like cats, likes baths, likes to play tug with a rope toy, and will break out of a crate causing scratches on his face. He also likes to play off leash and will come back when called. Ronald is a delight, easy to leash and has great leash manners. Ignoring other dogs we pass in the park, he’s quiet and low key. Showing off his ‘sit’, he takes treats super gently, and then sat again each time he saw my hand near my treat bag. How smart is that! Making friends with staff and volunteers we meet in the building, it’s no surprise that his kennel card is already filled with accolades from volunteers who’ve spent time with him. “Very sweet”, “great dog”, “easy to walk”, “NICE”, are but a few of the comments. Come meet Ronald, add your voice to all the positive statements and make him yours. Easy, gentle, serene, and quietly playful, Ronald is looking for a new family to love.
