12/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Rocky came to us as an owner surrender on 12/22/15. According to the owner Rocky has not been around children or cats, and is reportedly fearful and stiff around other dogs. Upon intake Rocky had tense body language, and growled at the admissions counselor. When entering the behavior room he was very tense and fearful. As the assessor attempted to put a leash on his collar Rocky growled twice. Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Rocky is not an appropriate candidate for a full SAFER at this time. He showed no interest in the toy item, and when off leash with other dogs, Rocky is very nervous but allows the other dog to sniff him with a tucked tail and tense body. He is more interested in seeking attention from the handlers. The behavior department believes that Rocky should be placed with a rescue that can provide any positive behavior modification necessary before placement into a home. Toy 1: No interest.
