04/23/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Robyn is the dog who will make your day…I had so much fun with her yesterday! She was waiting patiently in her arrival kennel, all eyes on me. Her neck and underbelly are raw and I was wondering how she would accept my leash but she did without a whimper. Her first “job” was to relieve herself, then, she spotted a ball in a corner of the pen and started to play, just like that, on her own…Robyn is a pretty dog wearing a lovely cow print coat. Her weight is good. She has been many times a mother and her care seems to have been dismal. Her nails are long and her dermatitis has been un-attended. Still, she is one friendly, sociable and playful girl, well balanced and trying to make the best of whatever circumstance she finds herself in. We play tag, she playbows to me. I throw the ball, she sits in anticipation then runs and jumps after it..She does not mind to share it. She looks soooooo happy. It is a joy to see her evolving in the yard. After a while, Robyn gets tired and spreads her whole body on the ground, tennis ball between her front paws, then she rolls and squirms, like a silly girl. What a show she puts on!!!! Yep, Robyn was yesterday my ray of sunshine in the rain and I am looking forward to meet her again. Dogs like her, I can not forget. Well, I hope you will feel just the same about her, fall in love and take her home as your forever best friend…Robyn is at the Manhattan Care Center.
