STIFF FORELIMBS PANTING PINK MM, TACKY APPROX 7% DEHYDRATED PER HISTORY, PATIENT WAS KEPT IN THE BACK YARD FOR THE 3 WEEKS SINCE HE WAS FOUND. OVER THE PAST WEEK HE HAS THROWN UP 4 TIMES. THOUGHT TO POSS. BE HEAT STROKE H/L = WNL, NMA, NSR, CLEAR LUNG FIELDS ABDOMEN = SNP CRYPTORCHID MALE – LEFT TESTICLE NOT DESCENDED LN = WNL NO JOINT SWELLING/EFFUSION NO ECTOPARASITES PRESENT ULCERATED BUCCAL MUCOSA, BILATERALLY A: PARESIS – R/O PRIMARY NEUROLOGIC (MYASTHENIA GRAVIS) VS. INFECTIOUS (TICK BORNE DISEASE, BOTULISM) VS. TRAUMA VS. OTHER LATERAL THORACIC RADIOGRAPH TAKEN – NO OBVIOUS MEGAESOPHAGUS. RECOMMEND IV FLUID THERAPY OVERNIGHT AND REASSESSMENT WITH POSS. BLOOD WORK TOMORROW MORNING. RECOMMEND MONITORING AT MACC. WEIGHT NEEDED, THEN BEGIN BEGIN FLUIDS (LRS) AT 75 ML/KG/DAY.
