Medical Summary SCAN NEGATIVE BARH MALE ~ 5 YRS MILD DETNAL STAINING DERNATITIS – SKIN SCRAPE – NO MITES SEEN CORNEAL EDEMA OCULAR DISCHARGE – EYES CLEAN OVERGROWN NAILS – TRIMMED NEEDED A MUZZLE FOR EXAM – ATTEMPTS TO BITE ON PE, PATIENT WAS OBSERVED TO HAVE CRUSTED MILDLY ERYTHEMATOUS AREAS OF ALOPECIA LOCALIZED TO THE CAUDAL VENTRAL REGION AND EXTENDING TO THE CAUDOLATERAL ABDOMEN. CRUSTING AND DANDRUFF MOSTLY PRESENT ON DORSUM. ALL FOUR PAWS WERE ERYTHEMATOUS WITH SUPERFICIAL ABRASIONS OVER DIGITS AND ALOPECIC PATCHES UP ALL OF THE LIMBS PATIENT APPEARED PAINFUL TO TOUCH ANY AREA THROUGHOUT PHYSICAL EXAM, ESPECIALLY OCULAR EXAM LIMITED EXAM PERFORMED DUE TO TEMPERAMENT CORNEAL EDEMA PRESENT OU WITH MUCOPURULENT OCULAR DISCHARGE (OS>OD) A: CORNEAL EDEMA DERMATITIS/ALOPECIA – R/O INFECTIOUS (PARASITIC VS. BACTERIAL VS. FUNGAL) VS. ALLERGIES VS. UNDERLYING ENDOCRINOPATHY VS. OTHER CLEANED EYES OUT WITH OPHTHALMIC SALINE/GAUZE AND APPLIED TAB OINTMENT CONFIRMED SKIN SCRAPE NEGATIVE. NO OBVIOUS ABNORMALITIES TO HAIR FOLLICLES RECOMMEND BATHING GAVE 3.4 ML PEN G SQ GAVE 1.5 ML RIMADYL INJ SQ WILL CONTINUE WITH CEPHALEXIN – 1000 MG PO BID X 10 DAYS START DOXY PROPHYLACTICALLY – 350 MG PO SID X 10 DAYS CONTINUE RIMADYL – 75 MG PO BID X 5 DAYS RECHECK SKIN ON DAY 5 TO ASSESS IF RIMADYL NEEDS EXTENSION NEEDS NEW HOPE PLACEMENT TO FURTHER WORK UP EYES AND SKIN
