Medical Summary Negative MC Intact male BARH Good teeth Cropped ears, irritation within but not otitis Right front leg swollen, old scratches/bite wounds, large (4.5in) granulated laceration under left mandible along neck, scars throughout body (concentrated on legs and face) Ulcerated laceration along right inguinal area, just above prepuce Negative fleas/earmites (activyl) Pyrantel given NOSF Moved to medical, started on clavamox 125mg (1+ 1/2) SIDx10 and carprofen 100mg + 25mg BIDx7d per oncall, first dose tonight

Regal, magnificent are the words that come to my mind , looking at Red, a most wonderful dog I had the chance to spend time with yesterday.  He reminds me of a young lion with his cropped ears and  his perfect strawberry blonde coat that shines in the sun. His eyes are straightforward but sweet and never leave mine. I am under his spell, enchanted by his gentle and impeccable manners. Red waits patiently right behind his door and lays peacefully on his blanket. He accepts my leash with grace and walks at my pace to the yard. He eliminates at once, not much sniffing or marking involved. Red is one wiggly butt, a big tail wagger too. He is happy to see another dog or a staff. He clearly loves company. Anything is better anyway than the 4 walls of his kennel. Still, I know that Red is very sociable, friendly and quite affectionate, coming again and again for caresses and kisses. He comes when called and sits on command or for treats. I tried a ball but did not want to tire him up. Indeed, Red has healing  wounds on his legs. They are of unknown source to us. Red is a great trooper, though, he wants to play. Yep, he is going, running after the ball. He will jump in a few days. Red stole my heart…He totally aced his behavioral evaluation here at the care center. Just come and meet him. You will quickly understand what I am talking about…A great forever best friend he will be.
