A volunteer writes: What a fun and perfect name for this little morsel of browns! Her coat is lush and gorgeous with a weave of browns and golds throughout. Stunning! Her cute bat ears seem to have a life of their own – both up reaching for the sky, one up, one down, one up, one folded over…so cute – it’s almost like trying on a different hairstyle for us girls! Pumpy (yes, we’re into nicknames) was found tied to a gate and for two days neighbors were feeding and giving her water until she came to us. Likely housetrained and with good leash manners we head for the park. She’s a bit shy, but loves to make new friends, wagging her tail at each new encounter. In group play Pumpy is social, a “gentle and dainty” player, engages in brief
bouts of play and takes correction well. Show her a treat, or approach her in any way and Pumpy goes into an immediate sit, looking at me softly and waiting for her treat which she takes so gently. She’s an awesome little girl, and even her intakes notes state that she’s “very sweet and social, sits when approached”. Our little slice of Pumpernickel is looking for her happily ever after, and we’re cheering her on hoping it comes quickly. Ask for her today.
