10/17/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/17/15 19:01 Princess was given to her finder outside of a school. Her finder told us that the owner reported that Princess is housetrained. Princess was friendly with new people, including small children, in her finder’s home. Princess had a soft body during her intake. When we approached, talked to, pet, and handled her (scan+, collar, pictures, switching leashes, putting in kennel), her body became loose and she wagged her tail. She took treats nicely. She jumped up, leaned into my lap, and licked and lightly mouthed my hands and arms.
10/21/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Princess is with us as her family was evicted. She is now homeless and mostly an orphan, without the humans she loved and who took good care of her. Indeed, Princess is friendly, sociable, very playful and although on the thin side, wears a lovely bright orange coat, reminding everybody of the beautiful fall season. Her pretty eyes are two shiny chestnuts. Princess is welcoming in her kennel. She pulls somewhat on the leash and does her business right away as we leave the building. She is mighty hungry, making me think that meals might have been scarce in her former household. She was told what a ball is, though which tells me that someone paid attention to and loved her. She is a great retriever and does not guard the tennis ball. Smart girl. Princess hops on the bench upon request and bestows me with lots of kisses. I enjoy her quite a lot. She is bright and lively like her life should be. May be she will get lucky and get her chance to leave with you as your forever best friend. Princess is at the Manhattan Care Center.
