WHY ARE YOU BRINGING THIS DOG IN? Owner’s health and landlord issues
RELATIONSHIP- Owned for 8 years
PEOPLE – Lived with 2 adults and 3 children
Does he get along with children? Yes – very playful and likes to sleep with children and follow them around the house
Does he get along with strangers? Yes
Has he ever bitten anyone? No
Has he bitten anyone in the last 10 days? No
Describe her behavior: Playful with children and with smaller dogs (more of a gentle player). Intimidated by larger dogs.
OTHER ANIMALS – Does not get along with cats – chases cats and squirrels
Can you describe his behavior around animals he doesn’t live with? Loves to play with smaller dogs.
PERSONALITY – She reads body language of the person she is with. She can be very active and playful or likes to lounge when the people she is with is lounging.
HABITS – Eats both wet and dry food – prefers wet food.
TRAINING -Knows “sit”, Knows “down”, Knows “go inside”, Knows “come”, Walks well on leash, Has never been on leash – usually runs loose in the backyard, Crate trained, Is housebroken – prefers to go on the grass
Does this dog have any medical problems that you’re aware of? If yes, please provide as much detail as possible. Recently had a urinary tract tumor and recovered. No known medical issues since then.
Is there anything that could be done to help you keep your dog? Owner has exhausted all possibilities. Reaching out to members of the public, used social media and reached out to other rescue groups, with no one able to commit.
What kind of home do you think would be best for this dog? Princess loves children and will be suited for any home.
7/17/15 – Group Behavior: When off leash with other dogs, Princess is very polite and tolerant when greeted by a female dog. She did not show any interest in play but does appear to enjoy wandering the yard. 7/18 update: Princess did not engage in play but continues to be social with female dogs.
