Medical Summary Scan negative M; 3 YO; 7.8 LB Was calm and freindly, but did react when shaving wounded areas, clearly due to pain Severely matted over entire body Called on-call vet and obtained permission to administer buprenorphine before shaving Administered 0.21cc Buprenorphine 0.5mg/ml Shaved body, found 2 huge red areas with burrowing maggots present; clearly painful Cleaned wound areas with Chlorhexadine;manually removed live maggots Was unable to shave anal/genital area due to reactions to severe pain; will require sedation to complete Large hard mass on rear area to right of anus; unsure if maggot infestion or abcess is the cause; will put in for vet check Administered 1 tablet capstar Set up Clavamox and Buprenorphine schedule per on-call vet Placed in cage in medical for further observation BARH
