07/18/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Do you hear that thump, thump, thump? That’s the sound of Pop Tart’s tail wagging as he sees me approach. Joining us with his housemates Pipsqueak and Play Doh when their owner passed away, PT as I fondly call him, is an awesome dog. He’s friendly, affectionate, beautifully groomed, and likely housetrained. Play bowing to me in the street, his tail wags, he smiles, and his eyes twinkle with the fun of it all. He has an issue with his back leg so we don’t go far, turning around to go into the back yard. In the yard off leash he quietly explores the pen, coming back to me for petting, giving me some kisses, and curling in for cuddles. His caramel coat gleams in the sun and it’s clear to see that he was a much loved and well taken care of companion. He loves people, seems to love other dogs, and is as soft and cuddly as can be. Making the best out of a situation that turned his life upside down, PT is hoping to right it again and find a new person or family to take care of. If you’re looking for a new best friend, stop looking… you’ve found him.
