05/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Pinkie Pie came in as a stray, so her past behaviors in a home are unknown. Upon intake Pinkie Pie had a loose body, wagging her tail and playful. It was also mentioned during her medical exam she was friendly and very hyper. During SAFER Pinkie Pie was playful entering the assessment room she was also social to the assessor, she allowed all handling for the assessment. During sensitivity she turned her head when touched but her body was soft and she also mouth the assessor hand with a bit of pressure. On the tag interaction Pinkie Pie became easily over aroused and began to mouth the rope with moderate pressure, and did not calm down easily. When attempting the first paw squeeze she mouths with light pressure and on the second paw squeeze she mouths with no pressure. Pinkie Pie did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. She proved easy to handle when chewing on the toy item, but only displayed minimal interest in the rawhide. It appears that Pinkie Pie is a high-energy dog that will likely do best with an experienced adopter prepared to provide mental and physical stimulation and appropriate outlets for her energy.
