I am a male white and brown pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 7 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a RETURN on 04/10/2015 from NY 10309, owner surrender reason stated was ATT PEOPLE.

04/02/15 13:30 Basic Information Pierre is an unneutered male with no medical issues as acclaimed by the owner. Social Life & Personality Pierre is very friendly and was kept mostly indoors. He is not house trained and has daily accidents. Around children he is friendly but tends to play somewhat rough with them. Around other dogs, he is relaxed and playful. The owner does not know how he would be around cats having never been around them. Pierre is described as having a high activity level, and described as playful and affectionate. Behavior Issues Pierre does not have any guarding or behavioral problems the owners are aware of . He knows sit and enjoys squeaky toys, along with balls and stuffed toys. He has never been crated and usually goes to the bathroom outdoors on grass. When left alone in the house, he does tend to be destructive when he does not have stimulation or a toy/rawhide to chew on. other than that, he is very well behavrd and will follow tou around the house enjoying your company. For a New Family to Know Pierre is a very affectionate dog who enjoys the company of all sorts. He comes when called and is not bothered by loud noises or fireworks. Previous owners stated that he would do best in any home.

On 4/2/2015 Pierre came to us as owner surrendered. According to the owner Pierre is very friendly. Around children he is friendly but tends to play somewhat rough with them. No bite history noted. The Assistant’s observations: friendly and pulls a bit on leash walking to the assessment area. He allowed the Assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items and accepted handling well. When pushed away be the “assess-a-hand”, Pierre lifted his head from the food bowl. He kept a firm grip on a rawhide. No other behavior issues; no aggression noted. Pierre is a friendly dog that should be a good family pet. It is the recommendation of the Behavior Department Pierre may be adopted by an average owner. Helper: A0976644 Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away or push him out. Toy: 1. Dog will relinquish toy to you. Rawhide: 1. Dog keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the rawhide. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches the helper dog, body soft, tail well above spine level
