09/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Peter was difficult to remove from his kennel showing teeth. Once he was out he walks with a low and fearful body language. He was fearful and repeatedly attempted to get away from the handler during the assessment. Peter was uncomfortable with handling; he freezes and wrinkles his muzzle to expose his front teeth. He was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. Peter does not approach other dog, attempts to exit. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 5. Dog freezes Food. No interest. Toy 1. No interest. Rawhide 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog does not approach the helper dog. Turns body to side in relation to other dog, or exits.
