05/23/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Bam Bam is so unique and amazing he even has big rig truck drivers making kissy sounds at him as we walk. Seriously – it really happened! So many people asked me if I had met BB (for short) as they know my type I couldn’t wait to meet him. And yes, not only is he my type, he’s pretty amazing. Staff is already in love with him, and the handful of volunteers who know him are singing his praises. Surrendered along with his housemate (Bigga A1033268) this is both dogs second stay with us. Originally in our care a month or so ago after their owner ran into some difficulties, he reclaimed them only to return them as he’s ill and can no longer care for them. We’re told that BB is housetrained, knows ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, and is relaxed and playful around children. He showed me his sit and took treats so gently with the very edge of his teeth I could barely feel him on my hand. BB has a great smile, a wagging tail, a soft and gentle demeanor, although we’re told he will bark and pull towards strangers initially when they approach his home. He’s a low rider, block head with amazing leash manners who checks up while we walk and completely looks like he understands what I’m saying when I talk to him. Allow yourself plenty of time when you walk him as everyone will want to stop and meet him, and he’s happy making new friends. Both BB and Bigga seem to have a food allergy which will need to be identified and addressed. He’s awesome, cuddly, soft and schmushy, and gives the sweetest kisses. Don’t take my word for it, ask to meet him today….but be warned…you won’t want to leave without him.
