A volunteer writes: Without meaning to do it, I saved the best for last. I love this low rider little girl in her gleaming black coat. Showing off lovely leash manners she checks up while walking, and periodically stops to give me a stand up hug. Right on First Avenue!! Needless to say Paige and I attracted a lot of smiles, and ‘awwwwwwws’ as we hugged, Paige’s tail wagging a way. She’s likely housetrained, loved playing with a plush toy doing a semi retrieve for me to throw again. Off leash she comes when called putting her paws in my lap for more cuddles and kisses. Gentle, calm, low key, affectionate and well behaved, Paige has clearly enjoyed a nice home in which she was a cherished companion before her owner was hospitalized. She has a quiet, affectionate soft energy which is guaranteed to delight her new person or family. She’s an awesome little girl who is hoping to find true love. We’re rooting for her!!!
