How much time do you have? I’m asking because my list of how incredible this dog is, is very long. I’ll shortcut….1) not only is he housetrained, he’s CURB TRAINED! He peed endlessly when we first went into the backyard, and when on the sidewalk I couldn’t figure out why he was pulling me to the street. He took care of all of his business in the street! 2) He’s such a rockstar with other dogs he’s being used as a HELPER DOG to asses other dogs during their evaluation. 3) He SHAKES BOTH PAWS! 4) He’s GENTLE, SWEET, WELL BEHAVED, CALM and EASY. Clearly I’m in love with this sweet boy and you will be too when you meet him. He’s a big boy, with big paws and a very big heart. More to love you with smile emoticon. His leash manners are good, he’s easy to walk, and once I knew that he’s curb trained to ‘go’, we made that our first stop. Off leash he had fun with ball, comes when I make kissy sounds at him, and takes treats super gently in exchange for his sit and paw. When our time together came to an end he hopped right back into his kennel, turned around and gave me a tail wag and a kiss. He is as sweet as can be. He has a cherry eye in one eye which is easily corrected, and is looking for the person who will make the commitment to love him forever. Trust me, it’s going to be easy……Ask to meet him today.

Having heard about the amazing Pacquiao I had to meet him, and yes, he is amazing! Calm and gentle, perfect on the leash, not only housetrained but curb trained, he’s gorgeous, easy, calm, gentle, good with other dogs in group….in other words, the absolutely perfect companion. He waits calmly in his kennel for his turn to go out, makes a beeline for the door to go potty and then walks perfectly by my side. I’m in love with this gentle fellow and envy the person who gets to take him home. I wish it could be me.

BEHAVIOR:
Pacquiao was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. He was overexcited during handling, jumping up, and was hard to position, but showed no aggression. Pacquiao was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. Pacquiao was not interested in toys or rawhide. He approached other dog with friendly/playful body language.
Paquiao pulls hard on the leash he needs a significant amount of exercise, mental stimulation and training. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter. This dog is extremely high energy and was sexually motivated. He needs a few toys that require him to think. Toys like Kong’s and ice Cubes load with treats to keeping him occupied for a while. Pacquiao needs an adopter that provides him long walks someone that loves to run or walk long distance.
Look: 3. Dog jumps on the Assessor, consistently rubs his shoulder on the Assessor, and will not allow Assessor to conduct the assessment.
Sensitivity: 2. Dog displays high energy and movement, but it is directed toward getting closer to the Assessor. His body is soft, likely panting, may jump up between attempts to lick Assessor.
Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor.
Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw.
Squeeze2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw.
Food: 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away or push him out.
Toy: 1. No interest.
Rawhide: 1. No interest.
Dog-dog: 1. Dog approaches the helper dog in play position. His mouth is open.
