Pacman came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake Pacman was calm and affectionate, he allowed to be picked up, rubbed, and collared by an admissions counselor. During SAFER Pacman came into the assessment room his body relax, he was friendly and social towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Pacman body was low during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Pacman was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Pacman appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, we recommend that introductions are done slowly, and Pacman be given the opportunity to interact at his own pace, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter.
