PROFILE:

Osito and his litter mates were surrendered at ACC today by their owner today. Osito is a black 10 yrs. old male Pomeranian who lived with his owner for 4 years. Osito is described as being playful and affectionate. He appears healthy and will undergo a full physical health exam.

Osito has been socialized with children cats and dogs at this time. He is described as being relaxed respectful and tolerant when he is around all three. When he is interacting with them he is gentle and well behaved. He is an indoor dog who is house trained and is well behaved both inside and outside of the house. He has a high activity level and is described as being playful confident excitable affectionate mellow independent and friendly.

Osito is not bothered when anyone places their hand by his food or when they take his toys or treats away from him. He is not bothered when he is pushed off of the furniture being restrained or disturbed from his sleep. He is not bothered when he is given a bath having his fur brushed or having his nails trimmed. He will become alert when a stranger approaches his family or home. He is bothered by loud noises and will try to hide when he hears them.

Osito knows the commands sit come and stay. He likes to go for slow walks on and off his leash and he will return when called. He likes to go to the dog park for exercise and also plays in the yard for exercise. He will use the bathroom on the cement or grass. He likes to play with squeaky toys and is considered alert. He is placed inside of his crate for up to six hours a day and is well behaved when there. He likes to eat Science Diet dry and wet food once a dayand also likes Science Diet treats.

When he is in the house with his ownr Osito will follow them around and stay in the same room with them. He likes to stay in his cage and will sleep there at night. During the Intake process he was calm and well behaved. He engaged people he came into contact with sniffing them and allowing them to pet him. He allowed himself to be collared and photographed with minimal effort. He also allowed himself to be walked by various staff members without incident.
