O: Head Mouth – limited exam due to nervous behavior Ears – matted pinnae Eyes – clear OU Chest Heart – no murmurs or arrhythmias Lungs – clea lung sounds bilaterally Trachea – NSF Skin Skin – dermatitis around vulva and associated with matted fur, no obvious wounds, foul odor and fecal material associated with matted fur on hind end Hair – severely matted hair coat Lymph Nodes – not palpable under matted fur Abdomen – WNL Musculoskeletal – difficult to determine BCS under matted fur, amb x 4, no lameness noted Neurologic – no deficits noted, mentally appropriate Urogenital – female A: severely matted fur with associated dermatitis P: sedated grooming (to be done today or tomorrow as time permits) start clavamox 125 mg PO BID x 14 days
