A volunteer writes: Stunning in her gleaming brindle coat, Nyla was surrendered to our care as her people said they have no time for her. Having lived with a 10 month old, a 2 year old and a teenager, it’s no wonder that Nyla is bewildered as to where her family went. She’s used to a family which also included two cats who she avoided, and slept in bed with her owner. We’re told that her activity level is low, she loves to be brushed, eats cat food as she doesn’t like dog food, is friendly to everyone and loves to cuddle. She showed off nice leash manners as we walked through the park, stopped to look at all the squirrels busy in the heat of the day (never pulling towards them), and greeted lots of small dogs with an easy tail wag. Sweet and shy, it took Nyla a little time to give me a kiss and a big smile but once she knew we were friends she showed off her cuddling skills! She poses for photos like a pro, not minding being tethered although cutely getting herself tangled in my leash. Alert to all the activities in the park, she’s not bothered by a kid who rides his bike too close to us. Nyla needs a person or family who will make time for her, tweak her housetraining skills with enough walks and positive reinforcement training. She’s smart and wants to please her people, and ready to show you that she’ll love you this…………………..
