07/14/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/14/15 13:35 Basic Info: Nintendo is a 5 year old male dog who has no known injuries or medical problems. Social Life and Personality: Nintendo was with finder for about 3 weeks and during that time he was not around any children or dogs but was living with 2 cats and would have soft, wiggly body and attempt to play but when he played with them it was slightly rough. He also was obsessive when playing with the cats and did not stop when cat would hiss or swat at him (never bit the cats). He did not appear to be house trained, having accidents inside almost every other day and has a medium to high level of energy. Behavior: He has a history or biting but it never broke skin/drawn blood but did leave teeth marks, bruises. When unfamiliar people approached the house or family member he would have stiff body, bark, and snap at their feet but if they approached him he would retreat while barking. New Family Info: He would play with balls and played chase, has never been crate trained, and when left home alone will destroy house hold items, furniture, and go to the bathroom inside. He was fed dry food. Intake behavior: During intake would retreat from extended hand and would bark. When touched would have stiff body and would attempt to run away. When given treat would sniff but not eat and when scanned for a microchip was negative. When taken back for vaccines would begin to snap at hand but after a few minutes calmed down and allowed to be given vaccines without aggression.

07/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Nintendo was difficult to remove from his kennel he was lunging and growling. NIntento was stiff and did not show social behavior during the assessment. He was uncomfortable with handling; he stands tall, He makes direct eye contact. He wrinkles his muzzle to expose his front teeth. We decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. Nintendo was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. He approaches the helper dog with his tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 5. Dog freezes and growls Food 1. No interest. Toy 1. No interest. Rawhide 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed, lip long or neutral. Helper:A104288
