A volunteer writes:

Niknak is such a great name for this little bit of a girl … Long legged Niknak indeed,  is a delicious smallish damsel despite her dismal weight. She is all skin and bones but her beauty prevails and blinds our sight… She is so delicate looking and even with more much needed pounds, Niknak will always look like a fashion model. She is a little shy coming out of her kennel and wary when I open the door to the yard. A bit of coaxing is needed but eventually Niknak marches in the open and settles by my side for caresses. She can sit on command and hops on the lap for kisses and hugs. She feels more like a needy six month old than the teen she is said to be. She is ravenous for treats but surprisingly takes them gently from my hand. Nicknack is curious of other dogs but acts submissively and withdraws when they are being to pushy. She knows she is a weakling for the time being. What’s not to like about Nicknack ? She looks like a fairy, a pretty deer and is as sweet as pie…She needs a home to belong to and a master who will love her to pieces. Come and meet Niknak at the Manhattan Care Center
