A volunteer writes:  I’m not sure what it is about Nico that made me fall in love.  His rakish good looks, his quiet, calm and sweet personality, his graciousness for attention paid?   I wish I knew. So quiet in his kennel, and so happy for the chance to go outside and go potty, he  let me put a raincoat on him for our walk.  His leash manners are good, he politely greeted every dog we passed, wagging his tail gently.  In a pen out back, we snuggle, and I can feel every rib as he’s far too thin for his frame.  We need to put some weight on this young man!!  Showing off his sit, he takes treat gently as hungry as he is, and holds his sit hoping more treats will find their way to him (you know they do!).  In group play with other dogs, Nico greets well but isn’t playful as of this writing.  Handsome, quiet, sweet, calm……there is something about Nico that will grab you and never let go.   Ask to meet him and see for yourself.
