I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/26/2015 from NY 11412, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.

Neyo came in as a stray so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. It was reported Neyo was calm, relaxed and allowed all handling upon intake. During SAFER Neyo had a loose body posture when interacting with the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Neyo body was low during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Neyo was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Neyo appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body low. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with his tail down, body soft. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles down close to chew, will relinquish toy to you. Rawhide: 1. Dog settles down close to chew, will relinquish rawhide to you. Dog-to-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Neyo is playful and does well with both males and females. He is eager to solicit for play and will offer play bows with a loose, wiggly body. He is a potential social greeter dog.

He is eager to solicit for play and will offer play bows with a loose, wiggly body. He is a social greeter dog. 7/1 Update Neyo continues to be very social with both males and females and playful when off leash. He does display some sexually motivated behavior but responds appropriately to correction. 7/3 update: Neyo is social and playful, engaging in rough play with both males and females. He may be sexually motivated but he responds well to correction.
