09/30/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/30/15 12:48 Nena was found running loose in the street. She clung to the ground as a car stopped just short of her. His finder put her in his car and brought her to ACC. He reports that she was friendly and easy to handle, both walking and during the car ride. Nena had a loose, wiggly body, wagging tail, and open mouth during her intake and handling-scan (+), collar, petting, switching leashes, and positioning for pictures. She jumped up and gently leaned against us while we pet her. She walked into her kennel on her own with little encouragement.
10/02/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: This girl has the moves! She’s a chunky mama, fed a little too well, but she can still bounce, jump and play with the best of them! Pleasantly plump suits her, her tail wags, eyes sparkle, and she chases after a ball, jumps up on the bench and just has the best time! If I don’t throw the ball fast enough I get a quick ‘woof’ to let me know she’s waiting and off she goes, bouncing after it. She sits when asked, shakes both paws, takes treat gently, is good on the leash, and wants to meet all the dogs we pass on our walk. In group, she greets politely, plays rough and responds to correction from the handlers. Her enthusiasm for everything is contagious, and I find myself bouncing along with her, ready to play and have a good time. Waking up to the beauty every morning guarantees a smile and a good attitude. How can you not? Smart, funny, beautiful and engaging, Nena is waiting to meet her soul mate. Is it you?
10/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Nena pulls a bit on the leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Nena did a lot of jumping up and body checking while playing tag. She did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. Nena was not interested in toys but took the rawhide away with a soft body language. Nena show a bit of concern during the tag interaction she became a bit over arousal. The behavior department feels that she may do best with an experienced adopter who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification. We also recommend a home without young children; older children can be considered pending interaction. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 3.
