A volunteer writes: In a world full of brown and black dogs, a stunning white/cream color dog stands out. Add to the mix a lush coat, rabbit ears, an elegant carriage and friendly demeanor, and spending time with Neiko is like walking with a celebrity. If I had a dollar for every person who commented about him I’d be rich! Clearly very much housetrained Neiko peed for what seemed like forever as soon as we were out the door. Left in an empty apartment when his owner was evicted, we’re told by the landlord who knows him that yes indeed Neiko is housetrained and very friendly. He pulls on the leash so a harness may suit him better. He’s smart and likes treats which he takes gently so will learn quickly. In the backyard as it got hot he crawled under the bench to get out of the sun (see, smart!). He also likes to be close to his person, so this way he could be close to me and stay out of the sun at the same time. Brilliant! Neiko does the head tilt thing when I call to him and I love that concentration. He sits when asked, again taking his reward treat gently. Majestic in every way he’s a gorgeous boy looking for a new home.
