A volunteer writes: Curled up in her kennel, looking every bit like a little fox cub, Muneca let me leash her and out she came for a walk. Her name means “baby doll” in Spanish, and implies a familiarity like a girlfriend. And, that’s what Muneca wants…to be someone’s friend. She’s a shy little girl and appears sad over her change in circumstance….from a home who clearly cared for her (her weight is good, her coat clean and groomed) to a strange new place. Found wandering in a park, her finder took her home briefly where she reported that Muneca was playful and respectful with her kids. M may be housetrained as she ‘went’ as soon as we were out the door although her finder reported a couple of accidents in the house. Her leash manners are good, and in the park I lifted her onto my lap for some snuggling. Every once in a while I caught a little tail wag out of the corner of my eye and considered each wag a minor victory. Beautifully groomed in her caramel color coat, this “baby doll” is a tiny little girl with big ears looking for a family to love.
