A volunteer writes: Hellllooo handsome! Moxy (for short), was curled up in his kennel when I approached, we greeted one another, and as I unlatched his door he stood to meet him. He’s stunning! His big rabbit ears frame a sweet face highlighted with gorgeous amber eyes. His coat is a stunning brindle, well groomed and clean, and his weight is perfect for his size. Moxy was surrendered by someone who didn’t leave us much information about him, other than he’s “calm and affectionate”, and “enjoys being petted and giving kisses.” Moxy pulls hard on the leash so will benefit from a harness and/or leash training and went potty as soon as we were out the door. It took him a little while to warm up to me – he needed to get his bearings first, but once our friendship was established his tail began to wag and he joined me on the bench for some kisses. He is gentle and low key, playing with a plush toy a bit – pouncing on it but then coming back to me for more petting, and when I threw it again we repeated the process….and repeat, and repeat! Compact, a perfect weight, a careful personality and then warm and friendly, Moxy is looking for a place to call home. Come meet him today.
A volunteer updates: Moxy Rocky became the ‘go to’ dog for play groups – greeting new dogs as they entered group and interacting with others to get a sense of their play style. Much loved by volunteers and staff alike, Moxy is the snuggle boy of choice as well. Currently in foster care he made a guest appearance for a vet check; did you hear the roar of welcome? Everyone rushed over to greet him, hug him, and get a little Moxy love in before he returned to his foster home. Loving the attention, Moxy was totally wiggle butt with the joy of snuggling and greeting old friends. He’s looking for his new friend, his new love, his new snuggle partner, his new bestie. Someone is going to be sooooooo lucky to welcome this boy into their home. Shouldn’t it be you?
