04/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mooky walks calmly on leash. He was shy but friendly during the assessment – low body, but trying to stay close. Mooky was shy during handling, but had soft body language. He had a low body position during the tag test, but followed the assessor at the end of the leash. Mooky was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. He was not interested in toys or rawhide. He approached other dog with friendly/playful body language. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment. This dog is somewhat fearful and is offering signs of submission but he came out of his shell when he met the helper dog. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, shy body language, mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food. No interest. Toy 1. No interest. Rawhide 1. No interest. Dog – dog 1. Dog approaches the helper dog in play position. Her mouth is open. Helper:A1032135
