A volunteer writes: A true Cinderella who was never treated as the beloved pet she ought to be, Monty may carry some scars on her body but her sweet, affectionate nature and happy-go-lucky spirit are bright as a new penny and all she wants in life is to play, cuddle and smooch with everyone she meets. She arrived at the Care Center with her equally charming sister Birmingham (A1052006) and though we’re told the girls had few chances to interact with the outside world, you’d never guess it from their wonderfully friendly and outgoing personalities. Monty’s the more energetic of the two and the life of any party, happily making up for lost time in the socializing department by saluting every dog we pass with a wagging tail and kissing up a storm when it’s time to sit down for snuggles. A good leash walker who takes care of her business outside and is very responsive to instruction, she’s said to already know commands for sit and stay and with the way this young gal loooves her treats, teaching her a few new tricks should be a cinch. Monty likes to play with toys, especially squeakies, and she’s used to spending time in a crate but her favorite place to be is always right by your side and she’d love to find a forever home where she can make up for lost snuggle time and spend the rest of her life being pampered like a Princess — because she is one! Now that she’s aced her behavior assessment with near-perfect scores on everything from handling to resource sharing, Montgomery is ready to shake of the cinders and start afresh with the loving family she deserves. Please don’t make her wait another day…
