A volunteer writes: At first glance Moe might look like a sort of plain brown dog, but to overlook him would be like throwing away a winning lottery ticket. Of course, even in looks he is not plain; the wrinkles that decorate his facial expressions look crafted by a sculptor – they emerge when he smiles or inquisitively cocks his head, and are adorable even when only a trace. He was a little shy when I first met him, but even bashfulness couldn’t conceal how utterly sweet he is! He warmed up quickly and by the end of our walk readily solicited affection. He loves to be petted and maintains soft eye contact with his big, wide-set eyes. Moe walks very nicely on leash and maintains a soft tail wag throughout our time together – even when he picks up the pace a little bit out of excitement, he manages to not pull; he is very light on his feet and seems to quickly sync with his person. He seems housebroken, dog-friendly and knows “sit.” He is very quiet and patient in his cage, but will utter a single bark and play bow when he sees me – and I’m just as excited to see him! He is so mild-mannered, loving, and eager to build a connection….the jackpot!
